BASEBALL TOURNEY RAISES $1385.00 FOR PLAYGROUND

6 Teams made up of over 60 ball players showed their community spirit by participating in the 3-pitch co-ed baseball tournament organized by Brian Shaver yesterday at the Riverside Community Centre. The tournament raised $1385.00 for the playground fund. Tammy Merkley's team defeated Tony Francis' team in the B final, 15-9. Kyle Weegar's team defeated Rick Barkley's team in the A final 12-11. Both A and B champs generously donated their $600 winnings back to the playground fund, while the other $185 was raised from a raffle. Congratulations to the winners and THANK YOU for supporting the South Dundas Community Playground!
