WE DID IT

CONGRATULATIONS SOUTH DUNDAS!!  What an excellent day!

If you build they will come. And they did! South Dundas volunteers came out in droves to participate in the Playground Build. The first volunteer arrived at 7:00 am. By noon, the volunteer count had reached 247 and it didn't stop there.

It was amazing to see everyone come together. To see neighbour shoulder to shoulder with neighbour hauling wood chips, weeding gardens, assembling playground structures, pulling up interlock...It was simply inspiring to see a group of citizens work so hard to realize one common goal.

THANK YOU to all who donated their TIME, TALLENT and TREASURE! Today was a testament to the community spirit and drive present in South Dundas!

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.  It's not.  ~Dr. Seuss

$114,000 Raised with only 5 more sleeps to go

It's hard to believe that only a few short months ago we were wondering if we'd be able to reach our fundraising goal...we were wondering if we'd be able to recrute the volunteers needed for the 1 day build...and we were wondering if we'd be able to do it in only 3 short months...Well...WE DID IT! The volunteers have come out in droves. We have surpassed our fundraising goal and we are down to only 5 more days until the Build. We are right on track.

South Dundas, you have demonstrated your generosity and spirit, without a doubt. You have proven that there are individuals and companies alike that are motivated by community projects with heart. And it's been a great community experience to share with you.

CONGRATULATIONS SOUTH DUNDAS...Your new playground awaits!

Okay South Dundas, the count down is on! As of Monday September 12th the playground at Earl Baker Park will be closed and our site prep will begin. Jack Barkley, volunteer for the South Dundas Community Playground is heading up the "ground breaking" start as the heavy equipment rolls in to ready the site for our Build Day.
