Lions Club Makes a Big Splash


Members of the Morrisburg and District Lions Club stopped by the Children's Playground Park in the Earl Baker park in Morrisburg, Monday night to drop off a cheque...$20,000 enough to allow the Children's Splash Pad Committee to put the wraps on the fundraising effort for their project. The stakes, marking the location of the Splash Pad are in the ground and preliminary excavation is expected to be done later this week. The Splash Pad Company is scheduled to arrive Monday and should take about one week to complete the Splash Pad.

CST Foundation

Kevin Casselman, local resident, and CST/Ultramar Commercial Sales Rep, was successful in approaching his company's charitable foundation, CST Foundation, resulting in a $2,000 donation.

Unbelievable Generosity.

Morrisburg residents and Canadian Tire Corporation owners Tracy and Shaun Telfer made a personal donation of $2,500 and successfully applied for a matching donation from the Corporation of $2,500. Total $5,000.

Goodbye Tubie weekend, hello community spirit

 Wow! What a weekend!

We are never disappointed with Tubie Weekend...but this weekend was UNBELIEVABLE!

Not only did we have a blast walking in the Tubie parade, we successfully collected $1255 around the parade route!!!!! South Dundas, you came prepared to pledge our efforts and it paid off!

Over the last 2 weeks we have received many PRIVATE, CORPORATE & INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS. All this to say that $120,000 has been raised thus far, surpassing our 2011 fundraising goal.
